Divorce

Our team has the experience to know how to address the many issues that may arise during your divorce, such as child custody, child support, visitation, property rights, property division, alimony and the recovery of attorney’s fees.

Modification

Sometimes after a decree of divorce or legal separation has been entered by the court, the parties may want to change some aspect of the judgment. Things that are commonly modifiable are child custody and parental visitation, child support, and spousal support.

Adoption

Adoptions can lead to several scenarios that significantly challenge the process. Our duty here at Swenson Law Group is to help you go through the adoption process without any complications.

Estate Planning

In addition to the drafting of wills, trusts, family limited partnerships, limited liability companies and life insurance trusts, we often help clients prepare for un-planned possibilities like debilitating health problems, or disabling injuries. It is our objective to maximize the control you and your loved ones will have at critical times regarding healthcare decisions and asset management, while minimizing the need for court intervention.

Guardianship

Guardians are appointed for minors and incapacitated adults. A minor may need a guardian appointed if the minor’s parents are deceased or otherwise unable to care for the child. Adults may become incapacitated due to mental illness, brain damage, physical problems, dementia, or a host of other causes. In such cases, a court must be asked to appoint a guardian to be responsible for the person and property of a minor.

Contempt

When a judge makes a legal ruling, it binds all of the parties involved. On occasion, however, one or the parties disregards the court’s orders or strays from the court’s intended plan. In these cases, Idaho law gives the judge the power to enforce his or her legal ruling. Two of the methods that can be used to enforce a legal ruling are “contempt” and “enforcement.”

Paternal Actions

If you are involved in a paternity suit, whether as the mother or the alleged father, you may be uncertain of your rights and how to proceed.  Swenson Law Group can skillfully help you through the entire paternity action.
